We've been busy the past two months building exciting new features behind the scenes! These improvements will lay the foundation for an even better product in the next iteration.

Homepage Update:

Enhanced Clarity: We've implemented transparent pricing information for a clearer understanding of our offerings.
Improved User Experience: Captivating animations have been added to the homepage.

Note: This is an ongoing effort to optimize the homepage for better communication and user experience. Stay tuned for further developments!

Terms of use update - new sections

We are updating our terms of use to reflect the latest changes in our product. For new users the effective date is from 17.6.2024. For existing users the effective date is from 1.8.2024. Here are the main changes:

12. Free Account Model (Effective after Beta - September 1st, 2024):

Describes the functionalities available in the free account tier.
Outlines content limitations: created content locked after 7 days, after 60 days then deleted permanently.
Emphasizes data recovery is unavailable for permanently deleted content.

13. Payment, Refunds, Upgrading and Downgrading Terms:

Clarifies no credit card information is stored and data is not sold.
Explains prepayment requirement for paid plans.
Details transition to the free model for unpaid accounts (including content restrictions).
Describes automatic billing via credit card or PayPal through Paddle.com.
Outlines account management features: upgrade/downgrade options and potential feature loss when downgrading.
Disclaims liability for feature loss upon downgrading.
Directs users to Paddle.com for payment processing and customer service.
States non-refundable fees.

14. Modifications to the Service and Prices:

Maintains right to modify/discontinue services (with or without notice).
Clarifies existing customer exemption for most price changes.
Defines notification process (30-day email notice) for price changes affecting existing customers.
Expands notification channels.
Maintains disclaimer of liability for service modifications/price changes.

14. Modifications to the Service and Prices

Added: Information on cancelling a Canvastera account via email to support@canvastera.com.
Clarified: Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, transitioning to the free account model (referencing the Free Account Model section for details).
Maintains: Existing content regarding account suspension/termination and refusal of service.

🧙Our styles / scripts were moved on CDN for faster loading times. And no white broken page when you have cached page after we have updated our app.
😅 Fixed swapped pricing / FAQ page, sorry for that.

For past 10 days we were tweaking servers for better performance.
Editor: Use ⌘+D (Mac) / CTRL+D (Windows) shortcut to DUPLICATE selected items.
Editor: Use ⌘+F (Mac) / CTRL+F (Windows) shortcut to FLIP selected items.
Editor: Use ⌘+K (Mac) / CTRL+K (Windows) shortcut to open LINK settings for selected item.
Editor: Use ⌘+⇧+L (Mac) / CTRL+⇧+L (Windows) shortcut to LOCK/UNLOCK selected items.
Editor: Improve history UNDO / REDO shortcut usage.
Editor: Lowered the times poster screenshot is generated to prevent overloading servers - poster screenshot will be generated after closing browser or using go to save -> SAVE.

Fixed how editor menu looks after changes we made. Sorry for that.
Show a nice warning that you are trying to access private poster.
Show a nice warning when accessing deleted poster.
Change the style of and items in states: selected, highlighted, loading, editing text.
Fix zooming poster with pinch-to-zoom gesture.
Added iPad support (still not perfect).

Added support for dragging wall decoration to a canvas.
Improved how double click to edit text is detected for the fast clickers 🚀
Try to fix issues while cropping an image. If image cropping fails you will be notified.
Increased the duration before you are logged off to 6 hours if you do not use Remember me function when signing in.
Increase the maximum of mega pixels to 50.

Optimized page header on mobile.
Updated privacy policy - added links to privacy policies of most used services that are linked in projects.
Updated branded logos of embed sources to match their brand guidelines.
Ensure that video is displayed in full opacity when playing.
Use same video play button icon for all videos.

Fixed switching categories in graphics / text / wall decorations
Add custom message if trying to use YouTube video that has been disabled for embedding.

Addressed file upload problems caused by excessively long names - we will now automatically shorten them and add missing extension to attachment files.
Bug fixes that could cause editor not move items (depending on browser).
Disabled uploading videos for the moment.
Handle YouTube / Vimeo embeds.
Improve text saving with security in mind without causing headache when unable to saving project the text.
Update YouTube player to fix video error not showing.
Show a warning when trying to save project without name in the editor.
Fix dialogs on Safari and improve legacy browsers support.

Enhanced handling of edge cases when saving items with rotation.
Resolved the issue of adding embeds from your media library.
Addressed file upload problems caused by excessively long names - we will now automatically shorten them.
Addressed the issue where YouTube, Flickr, or external media libraries were not displayed when removing items containing restricted keywords.
Added the capability to upload Microsoft Excel files.
